Newmedica is part of the Specsavers group and runs a network of eye health clinics across England. They help people protect their sight, providing both NHS and private services to patients across the UK.
We had two core goals:
- Validate understanding of Newmedica’s different audiences (NHS patients, private patients, healthcare professionals)
- Improve how those audiences access the information they need online
To understand, and ultimately, improve the user journey, our team began the audience research project, reviewing available data sources and implementing new 1st party data collection. This became the foundation for the new site structure and user journey mapping.
We then moved to wireframes and UI design, focusing on solving previous challenges and providing clear and accessible information for the user.
The end result is a clean infrastructure to support content growth while requiring users to navigate to fewer pages to find the information they need, achieved through:
