Driving the change for digital fundraising.
Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) provide medical aid where it’s needed most. Its expert medical teams act fast to save people's lives in conflict zones, natural disasters and epidemics.
When MSF UK appointed Crafted in 2019 it had new ambitions in two areas:
- Redefine the role and value of digital channels across fundraising activities
- Reposition the relationship between how its internal marketing teams work with its agency partners
MSF UK truly understands the importance of collaboration. Working primarily on a campaign-by-campaign basis, a shared sprint methodology brings everyone together as a single team, combining the best skill sets and knowledge across each team from content creation, through campaign strategy, delivery and analysis.
From understanding the humanitarian crises at the centre of the fundraising campaign, to celebrating success and sharing the key takeaways once it has finished, everyone has a seat at the table all the way through. Bottom up, inclusive collaboration is baked in.
It is this collaboration that has been fundamental to many hugely impactful fundraising campaigns, such as:
Bringing the frontline to UK audiences.
MSF provide life-saving support in situations that most people will never have to experience. Working with MSF’s in-house creative team and using real-life stories from those on the frontline, we brought incredibly challenging situations to life across a variety of digital formats.
A doctor for the day costs MSF £76. Online donations for the Afghan appeal raised enough for 36,503.
