Senior Advertising Strategist.

We're looking for an experienced advertising strategist who can deliver high quality paid campaigns for clients of all sizes, including large and technically challenging accounts. Taking what can be complex client requirements and working autonomously to turn them into deliverable advertising campaigns while exhibiting excellent client management skills.

Reporting into the Head of Advertising this senior role will include mentoring other members of the team. It will also involve working closely with other search departments and the client services team.

Job roles and responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for day-to-day delivery and management of large scale advertising accounts
  • Suggesting possible future enhancements to both client projects and wider team processes with the support of the Head of Advertising
  • Support the search department’s workflow, deputising for senior staff when required
  • Analyse trends and find insights and actions in the large amounts of data at our disposal
  • Support the client services function with client reporting, statistics and opportunities where required 
  • Have direct contact with clients of all levels and other stakeholders to answer questions and provide insight or analysis on complex technical and strategic elements
  • To prepare for and lead meetings independently for existing and prospective clients up to board level
  • To act with commercial awareness
  • Independently evaluate, define and articulate the strategic direction of client accounts to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Work independently to set personal deadlines and manage workflow in a fluid and dynamic way, while taking shared ownership and involvement with wider work planning

Knowledge, skills and experience required:

  • Ability to deliver successful creative and effective advertising campaigns in highly competitive markets
  • Online display planning and buying experience
  • Experience with DoubleClick or similar platforms, and ad exchanges
  • Extensive experience running paid search campaigns
  • Analytical skills to perform in-depth technical audits
  • Extensive advertising experience and all aspects that contribute to a successful paid search campaign
  • GAP, AdWords, MSN and other industry qualifications
  • Proficiency in Excel to the level of functions, formulas and tables
  • Creative thinking when faced with a problem to identify the issues and suggest actions
  • Understanding of marketing online, and the interplay between various disciplines
  • Making creative suggestions for new content, functionality or potential areas to leverage both on & off site
  • In-depth use of analytics packages to monitor progress and identify trends
